Biography
Ms Chaw Su Yin received her B.Eng. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2008 and her M.Eng. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in 2010. For her M.Eng., she worked on polymer drug conjugations for cancer chemotherapy in Prof. Feng Si Shen's lab in NUS. On completion of her master's program, she joined Prof Steele's group and worked on formulations for drug eluting balloon prototypes. She was also involved in surface functionalization of PLGA films and study of effect of plasma treatment on drug release. She moved on to Prof. Subbu's group in 2012 and worked on developing cell adhesion assays and studied cell proliferation and apoptosis in hydrogels. Currently, she is working on in vivo studies involving myocardial tissue engineered constructs.
