Biography

I am Divya Venkataraman, researcher at the School of Materials Science and Engineering,Nanyang Technological University. I did my Masters at NTU in Biomedical Engineering after my Bachelor's in Industrial Biotechnology.

Research Interests

I am passionate about Biological Sciences, pathology,cell and molecularbiology, immunology, biomaterial science applications. I have worked in various projects such as gene expression studies in Type 2 Diabetes patient's blood; Apoptosis marker studies, Senescence in Type 2 diabetes patients using biomarkers; Cytotoxicity studies in breast cancer cell line MCF-7 cells; Ex vivo bioreactor set up and real time viability studies and testing Drug Eluting Balloon prototype in the developed bioreactor; Quantification methods of the anti-cancer anti- inflammatory drug paclitaxel.
